Monday Mommyhood Madness - Mommy Woes

So, here's the thing...like most moms, I love my kids more than life itself. I am thankful for them every single day of my life and there are so many things that I love about being a mom. I love seeing them grow, change, and learn. I love snuggling with them and receiving their slobbery kisses. I love watching them sleep at night and wondering what they're dreaming about. I love the innocent way they see the world. I love the pride I feel when they accomplish something or reach a new milestone. I love knowing everything about them and having to explain their quirky behavior to others. I love watching them interact with each other and knowing that they really love each other and look out for each other. I love watching them play - especially when they don't know I'm looking. I love being the one that is there for them everyday when they need comforting and care. I love that they need me. I could go on for days...but I would be doing a great injustice to moms everywhere if I said I love everything about being a mom. I don't. There are lots of things that I miss from my pre-baby days and many more things that I'm looking forward to them growing out of. Of course once they are grown I'm sure I will miss them being little. And I realize that and try to enjoy everything about the time I have with them now. But, I'm sorry...there are just some things that I will NOT miss and I do not enjoy about mommyhood right now. I know I'm not the only one...at least I hope. lol Anyway...here is my list of things that I am looking forward to not having to deal with any more:

1. Getting kids into and out of car seats everywhere we go - even if its just across a parking lot
2. Leaking sippy cups leaving puddles on my floor and spots on my couch
3. Cabinet locks and having to anchor down furniture so that my monkey child doesn't tip it over onto himself
4. Finding boogers wiped on my walls, furniture, floors, you name it...
5. Having a full audience every time I need to use the bathroom
6. Getting one child dressed up in shoes, hats, mittens, coat, etc only to have said child fully undressed by the time I have the 2nd child dressed
7. Repeating myself 500000 times
8. Cleaning just to have the room destroyed within 2 minutes
9. Little hands finding and getting into everything they aren't supposed to
10. Wiping butts
11. Buying them clothing that they wear once and is stained beyond repair
12. Having to replace their entire wardrobe every season
13. Burping, farting, and announcing when they need to poop in public
14. The inability to share
15. Not being able to complete a single task without multiple interruptions
16. Not being able to go to more than one store (and you better make it quick in that one store, too!) without all-out embarrassing meltdowns or bad behavior
17. Hitting, pushing, biting, etc
18. Hearing things like 'Mommy - Isaac pooped in the tub!'
19. Horrendous table manners
20. Not being able to have an adult conversation

I think that covers most of it...although I'm sure I will think of more. But, the bottom line is...I love my kids to death and would not trade them for the world! I couldn't imagine my life without them. So, what are you looking forward to not having to deal with?
